We are a group of friends and neighbors who have joined together to form a natural gas lease negotiating unit. Our goal is to gain and provide knowledge about natural gas drilling, invironmental impact, landowners rights, as well as tax and legal information. Our ultimate goal is to be able to negotiate a gas lease option for members of this association that protects and benefits all.
There is power and strength in numbers. By joining with your neighbers you will be kept aware and informed. You will also have the benefit of other minds thinking of things you may not even think of asking for in a lease such as any pipeline on your property being laid below plow depth or any building on your property being exempted from the lease.
This group will be able to help you separate fact from fiction. We've heard many stories that landowners have been told by landsmen trying to get them to sign a lease. Beware - The job of the landsmen is to get the landowner to sign a gas lease for as little money as possible with as few adendoms to their lease as possible. They will tell you whatever they think will get you to sign.
Ultimately our goal is to negotiate the best possible gas lease and offer that to members of this association. You are under no obligtion at any time to sign any lease.
